REFLECTION ON ASSIGNMENT 3

           There are many things that we learned through this assignment. First of all, we have learned new terms under the linguistic branches that are very much related to our field, which is English language and Literature. These branches of linguistics such as computational stylistics, concordance, forensic linguistics are new to us and from this assignment; we get to know what are those terms and their functions as well. 
            Our group has been given the topic of ‘Computational Stylistics’ which one of very interesting topics and it taught us on how to analyse the style in a text, or a literary work through the assistance of  the computer. From this analysis, we also are able to identify the specific style of the author as it  is believed that every author has different styles in their writing.

         Furthermore, this assignment also required us to find several articles that are related to computational stylistics, which we found to be an interesting matter to be figured out. However, although it is difficult for us to find and understand the articles, we still think that it is worth the struggle that we went through. As the matter of fact, through the analysis of this articles, it can increase our knowledge on how computational stylistics is applied in literary works, and the results achieved will help us to further our research in depth especially in the field of literature.
